Energy Ministry, PHDC hold strategic talks on 2025 review and 2026 plans

The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Jinapor, has held a detailed engagement with the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC) to assess its performance in 2025 and harmonise strategic priorities for the year 2026.

The meeting centred on improving implementation, exploring emerging opportunities, and strategically positioning the Corporation to enhance value delivery across the entire energy value chain.

According to Dr Jinapor, the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation continues to play a pivotal role in the government’s investment agenda within the energy sector, acting as a key driver of infrastructure expansion, private sector involvement, and long-term energy security.

“As we look ahead, our focus is on deepening investor confidence and accelerating projects that will transform our energy landscape, create jobs and support sustainable economic growth,” the Yapei Kusawgu lawmaker wrote on Facebook following the engagement.

The Petroleum Hub is a landmark megaproject located in the Jomoro District of the Western Nzema Area. Designed to become a leading integrated petroleum complex, the initiative represents a significant step towards enhancing value creation across Africa’s upstream and downstream oil and gas value chain.
