Municipal Chief Executive Officer for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region , Samuel Oduro Frimpong, participated in an extensive clean up exercise to clean the township of Ejisu on Saturday, January, 23.
The exercise which lasted almost six hours, was supervised by the Environmental And Sanitation Department of the Assembly and Zoomlion Ghana Limited , had Assembly and Unit Committee Members , Traders, and some Youth groups in the Municipality come onboard to clear clogged up gutters , Clear garbage on the main Accra road , the Ejisu market and other viewpoints.
The occasion was also to enlighten Traders on the need to keep their surroundings clean at all times and desist from dumping of refuse into gutters and inappropriate places .
The MCE , pledged commitment to help ensure the city be kept clean and called on all stakeholders in the municipality to assist him make him accomplish the set target.
He added , the exercise was the third one in a row he had organized and stated this will continue every Saturday that comes before Akwasidae.
Mr Samuel Oduro Frimpong went on to thank all who participated ,traders and shopkeepers who closed their shops to be a part of the exercise.
