Ghana’s Cashew Trading Season Opens with High Expectations for 2025/2026

The Chief Executive Officer of the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), Hon. Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, has officially announced the opening of Ghana’s 2025/2026 cashew trading season, emphasizing the excellent quality of the raw cashew nuts this year.

Speaking at the 12th World Cashew Conference in Dubai, Dr. Osei Okrah addressed earlier concerns regarding the quality of Ghana’s cashew nuts, dismissing claims of subpar produce. He reassured stakeholders that the season would see both high-quality nuts and strong yields, in line with Ghana’s historical performance.

He encouraged traders and investors to actively engage in the season’s market, citing expectations of a good outturn (KOR) as is customary for the country. Dr. Osei Okrah also assured both local and international buyers that this season’s cashew production will meet international quality standards, reinforcing Ghana’s reputation as a reliable supplier in the global cashew industry.
