President Mahama to Launch Vegetable Development Project in Ahafo Region

President John Dramani Mahama will on Thursday, November 27, launch the ‘Vegetable Development Project’ (Yeredua) at Kukuom in the Asunafo South District under the Feed Ghana initiative.

As part of his visit, the President will also break ground for the construction of a poultry, meat, and feed processing factory in Bechem, Tano South Municipality.

Mr. Alfred Aboagye, Special Aide to the Ahafo Regional Minister, Madam Charity Gardiner, disclosed the itinerary in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Goaso.

He noted that the processing factory, once completed, will create significant employment opportunities for young people in the region. He encouraged residents to support President Mahama’s Reset Ghana agenda.

Mr. Aboagye added that the vegetable development project aims to boost vegetable production and make the sector more appealing to the youth. He urged unemployed young people across the country to consider farming, as government continues efforts to modernize agriculture for job creation, poverty reduction, and food security.
