Lands Minister Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has urged global mining investors to choose Ghana as Africa’s most reliable and profitable investment hub.
Speaking at the 23rd Africa Down Under Conference in Perth, Australia, he highlighted Ghana’s position as the continent’s top gold producer, its stable political environment, and more than USD 20 billion in accumulated mining investments. He assured investors of legal protections and good governance, describing Ghana as a beacon of democracy with three decades of peaceful political transitions.
The Minister also promoted opportunities in critical minerals such as bauxite, iron ore, lithium, cobalt, copper, nickel, and zinc—key for clean energy and technology industries. He noted ongoing projects with GIADEC, GIISDEC, and Atlantic Lithium Limited, and emphasized Ghana’s strong mining ecosystem with over 200 support companies and 500 exploration projects.
