‘Agric for All’ project launched to boost agricultural production

The Member of Parliament for Hohoe, Mr. Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, has launched an “Agric for All” initiative to strengthen agricultural productivity across the constituency.
The first phase of the programme includes the distribution of fertilisers, processed maize and rice, farm tools, and tractors to support local farmers. Mr. Tsekpo said the project aims to expand mechanised farming and increase food production, noting that his goal is for every traditional area to have at least one tractor.
He reaffirmed his commitment to using the Common Fund to support all sectors of the constituency “until the last person is positively impacted by President John Mahama’s vision.” He added that anyone interested in farming would receive small but meaningful assistance to help them start and succeed.
Mr. Tsekpo urged beneficiaries to use the seeds and machinery responsibly to ensure their longevity. He also stressed that all resources distributed so far have been shared fairly among the traditional areas, and the same approach would guide future allocations.
The Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Prosper Kumi, praised the initiative and announced that more development projects would follow. He encouraged residents to engage local authorities with ideas and requests for community improvements. According to him, the plan is for every traditional area to receive at least one tractor along with other equipment to boost agricultural production.
Assembly Member Mr. Robert Okoh also commended the programme, emphasising the need for proper maintenance to sustain its benefits.
