GREATER ACCRA WEST REGIONAL OFFICE OF EPA EMBARKS ON ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AT AMASAMAN MARKET

The Greater Accra West Regional Office of the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), led by the Regional Director, Mrs. Andriana Naa Kwakor Nelson, has launched a Plastic Recovery Program to help tackle plastic pollution within the GA West Municipality.

The program was officially launched on 27th November, 2025 at Kporbikorkpe MA Basic School in the GA West area. The education focused on waste segregation and teaching pupils how proper waste management can protect the environment.

The office moved into the Amasaman Market to educate market women on the Plastic Recovery agenda and encouraged their participation in reducing plastic waste.

As part of the campaign, a team from AyaGreen, and Ezov Environmental Services in collaboration with EPA engaged the market women on how the public can support efforts to minimize plastic pollution.
